For taxational reasons, the company that I made up in 1988 for publishing collections of my poetry, has just (and retroactively back to the 14th of April last) become reality as a one-man business in webbuilding and copywriting, registered at the Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam as 'Kafai Publishing', under nr. 34191142. Congratulations, Chielie. Thank you, Chielie. Oh and where the name stems from? Well, the kowhai is a petite yellow medicinal flower, that sprouts, in small clusters, from homonymous trees. If you pronounce its name in Kiwi dialect, it sounds like 'Kafai', with a mute first 'a'. |
