What are we doing? April 29th, 2004 Oh, what won-der-ful a gift, from the Royal Library, on the eve of Queen's Day 2004: picture postcards, of the Royal Household, a whole collection of them. I have seen lesser charm-offensives, and although I didn't deem this specific one to be necessary, I appreciate it unstoppably. I sometimes say crazier things, but regarding this picture it is not so crazy at all: in the world of men it is this, that we die for. A certain late German had got that down perfectly. Who could blame him. God save the Queen.
